A steampunk-themed Pokémon group? I think my day has officially been made. :la:

Watching; will joinm this when I've got a little more time on my hands, it looks very interesting~
Would be great to have you on board. (:

There is something I’m still having issues with that I should have mentioned before. Nothing that will prevent me from posting my submission for the event but just for future references. This is concerning the time era this should take place. The journal about the worlds says, and I quote, The aesthetics of LanoraeGEAR are a mix of Victorian and industrial. Vests, ball gowns, top hats, and the like are peppered with gears, mechanical additions, and goggles. However, some influences from as late as our 1920s may be found as well -- particularly in the aristocratic classes. And that’s all well and good but while looking around the site I stumbled upon this comment you made: “To be honest, the setting is fairly similar the Bioshock era (if you are familiar with those games) with some remaining traits of the Victorian era that makes it a mash-up of Steampunk things, so there's quite a bit of variety as to what you can do.

Now I want the record to be clear I have no preference for ether setting. In fact the reason I ask this question is because im intrigued as to what era is closest to the setting. Whatever is best is good but the Bioschock timeline is heavily influenced by the turn of the 20th century. I ask because these are two very distinct time eras and the society and culture would obviously be influenced by it.

So the main question I’m asking is what time era is the world of LanoraeGEAR? Is it more industrial or is it closer to the early 19th hundreds?

And I apologize if all this seems like a stupid question.

hmm... I think if there was a deviantart chat, things would be easier...we could even use chatzy.com to speak with others and RP if we wanted
What is the restrictions on what the trainer can bring/ use during the first event?
I ask because I know that there are harpoon but what is the trainer allowed or not allowed to use?
Mm, do you mean as far as weapons and such? It's pretty much anything reasonable. Pistols, knives, stuff like that. Just use common sense and keep to things that would be common and readily available -- fancy guns or bastard swords or things like that, probably a no there xD It's mainly just for self-defense anyway, as most people rely on their pokemon to fight to keep themselves out of harm's way as much as possible. Also, weapon technology is Victorian era to the 1920s at the absolute latest, so you can sort of poke around there to see what's readily available and what's not.

Or did you mean something else?
